Reviews
This place came highly recommended from a friend. Overall I enjoyed it and had a good lunch here.
For the price, I think it is very lunch experience with an awesome view from the 30th floor. They have a few lunch sets you can choose from with different price point. I personally enjoyed “No. 2 set” the most. It is a tad more expensive but I was able to taste the difference in meat quality. Not a day and night difference, but I did appreciate the better quality beef. I also tried “No. 1 set” which is slightly cheaper. Still good value and the quality of the beef is not a huge gap between these two sets.
Could not get the seating beside the window, where you could face the view directly while enjoying your lunch. Instead, got the table seating, however, it did not degrade the lunch experience I had.
Have included two photos, one photo shows the seating at window side, and another photo shows table seating (slightly further from window) to give you an idea of the difference in view-experience.
I later observed that the restaurant will “try” to seat single-person lunch goers at the window seating. That is my guess. Which is a very considerate touch. I have travelled by myself numerous times, and if I was travelling alone, then I would really appreciate the window view to enjoy my meal, since I don’t have a friend to chat with.
So if you are travelling by yourself, my guess is that you might get a slightly better chance at window side seating here - but please take that with a grain of salt.
Cheers!
First , the food is amazing ! I would like to come back again. The wagyu beef is out of this world
For service , I guess we are English speaking and they maybe the problem but we don’t get enough instructions whether we should eat things raw or we have to cook it. We had to ask sometimes . There’s a QR code on the table for grilling instructions but we wished they would’ve told us .
Sometimes the folks aren’t as attentive , so there are finished plates on the table we wish they can take away as soon as we finished them. That’s why we want to finish some, otherwise the table felt so crowded and makes it hard to enjoy the food .
Again , I’d come back to this place again as the food is amazing. We had the set menu. I’d recommend to order the set rather than a la carte
It’s the worst dinning experience in Japan, because of the worst service in waiters. There are serval reason and experiences on tonight.
1. the waiter didn’t provide the water for us at the beginning until we ask it. When the water ran out, they also didn’t add more water for us.
2. They provided the service bell and told us if we had any requests, we could push it. But, when we pushed the bell ring, no body came. even we tried it again and again.
3. The waiters and managers’ attitudes are very bad. When we raise our arms to try to have a talk with manager. He just answered ‘oh’??? And then just walked away.. When the waitress gave us the ice cream, she throw the ice cream bowls on the table with her cold face.
4. The waiters and waitress didn’t clean your table, even they found your table full of empty plates until you asked them.
It’s really bad experience, I don’t want it visit it again. Because it’s really unfriendly for foreigners! Not recommended this restaurant.
Food is bad. Waiters are very rude!!! Especially not respecting customers at all!!!
We are locked in a small tiny dark room without any view.
Not a Japanese restaurant but a Korean.
Price is unreasonable without any view.
We are here for view but nothing!!!
We are sooooooooooo disappointed!!!!!
We ordered the lunch menu.
If your child does not like the traditional Korean dish red pepper kimchi or boiled vegetable namul dressed with sesame oil and garlic, they will replace it with chilled tofu.
It was a fun barbecue, grilling your own food!
Food quality definitely is there, but service, I dun think it is up to the standard at this type of establishment. First of all, though there are instructions on how to cook the meat but there are no specific instructions on how long I should cook my thick beef tongue. When I asked, no one could tell me too. I have to google to find out. Lastly, I do feel we can better value elsewhere. You are basically paying for the view, which is not all great if you are sitting on the inside seating.
The service of this Xu Xuyuan
Not very good.
Our clerk doesn't speak English at all 😅
I ordered a glass of water, pressed the service bell twice, and ordered it with the clerk.
I didn't go until the third time.
I don't know.
I didn't have this bad feeling before.

This kind of service should not be
Fantastic rice! Despite the nice service, the place is quite crowded. The beef tongue was great! But the others were just okay. Although over all decent and I would recommend for first-timer, it is not likely for me to visit again.
